HOW TO BE HAPPIER THROUGHOUT THIS MONTH

1. SMILE

Smiling causes the brain to release dopamine, which makes you happier.
So when you find yourself feeling low, crack a smile and see what happens.

2. EXERCISE

Choose an exercise that you enjoy. Exercise releases chemicals in your brain that lift your mood and keep your heart healthy.  A small amount of physical activity can make a difference.

2. GET ENOUGH SLEEP

Ensure you get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep so your body and mind can fully rest.

3. TALK AND SHARE

Communication is important, whether it's with a friend, family member or counsellor. Talking things through helps you to release tension, rather than keeping it inside. It helps strengthen your relationships and connect with people.

4. BUILD YOUR RESILIENCE

Resilience is what allows you to cope with life's ups and downs. Making something worthwhile out of painful times helps your resilience grow.

5. PRACTICE GRATITUDE

Simply being grateful can give your mood a big boost. Practicing gratitude can have a significant impact on feelings of hope and happiness.

6. GIVE A COMPLIMENT

Performing acts  kindness may also help promote your overall well-being.
Giving a sincere compliment is a quick, easy way to brighten someone’s day while giving your own happiness a boost.
